Sunday, August 10th, 2008

The 150 CNC internal universal grinding center is said to offer flexibility for handling a wide range of ID and OD chucked grinding capabilities. The machine is available with as many as four spindle indexing turrets and a B axis (swiveling workhead) with steady rest support for taper grinding requirements.

It can be equipped with a C and U axis for CAM and out-of-round grinding. Said to be useful for medium, large or short workpieces, the center is available with an extended bed to chuck parts from 13.7″ diameter to 60″ long. Single compact block construction offers dynamic as well as thermal expansion characteristics, according to the company. The workhead support design features air cushioned, angular-swiveling and positioning with increments of 0.0001 degree for angular settings for high precision taper grinding.
